ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Smucks -- an illustrator, occasional photographer, vintage toy collector, and mom based in sunny Los Angeles. My work blends a love of whimsy, empathy, and offbeat humor, often drawing from everyday moments, political sympathies, oddities, and a slightly chaotic brain (thanks, ADHD).

I created and ran the popular blog “Design is Mine” where I gained notoriety for my unique taste in design and curation. I have been featured in Elle Italia, The Guardian UK, Vanity Fair, and Teen Vogue.

I'm inspired by nostalgia, human connection, and the delightfully weird. I make art for people who want to feel seen, laugh, and maybe find a bit of themselves in my illustrations.

I live with my husband, kids, and two cats. It's pretty great.
